Dr. Jill Cane, Chair

Dr. Jill Cane joins the Polaris Charter School Board of Trustees with thirty years of experience as a public school Principal, Federal Projects Director, Curriculum Coordinator and Mentor Coordinator.  She was a Founder of Polaris Charter School and served as the Start-Up Director for school’s first year of operation. Throughout her career, Dr. Cane has focused on developing, implementing and assessing instructional programs that challenge and engage all students.  Her consulting includes working collaboratively with parents, teachers, administrators, school board members and government officials in multiple areas of curriculum and professional development.  In her personal life, Jill spends as much time as possible with her eight grandchildren, who range in age from 9 to 19.  She also enjoys international traveling with her husband, watercolor painting, gardening, reading, Zumba, and classical music.

 

 

 

Elizabeth Velez, Secretary

Elizabeth Velez, Board Secretary, is the proud mom of 2 Polaris students in grades 2 and 5.  She works as a law clerk at the New Hampshire Supreme Court and lives in Concord, NH.  Prior to becoming a lawyer, she homeschooled her children for a year after three years spent living in Cape Town, South Africa and working as a librarian and teacher.

Camila Miranda

Brazilian by birth, American by choice. Camila has a Law Degree, but followed her passion and went to drama school, where some doors were opened to work as Assistant Director in a play, and Producer of a Children Theater Magazine for the State Department of Culture, until she left to USA in 95. Enjoys skiing, has fun at karate classes with her son and loves to cook.

 

 

Sharon Klardie, Treasurer

Sharon Klardie joins the Polaris Charter School Board with 20 years of Technology experience.  Sharon has a passion for combining technology solutions to drive forward transformation.  This passion has extended to community outreach, helping nonprofits, individuals and corporations learn more about Salesforce ecosystem.  This community involvement earned Sharon the honor of being named a Salesforce MVP.  Sharon has a degree in Economics and a Master in Business Administration.  A mother of 2 boys, who keep her on her toes, laughing & smiling.  They help inspire her to continue to focus on how we can all connect to move forward each day making it better than the last.

 

Angela Olsen Seggie

Angela is a hands on leader that has focused her 20+ year career on maximizing strategic sales and marketing opportunities for a variety of organizations. Her background includes serving as the VP of Sales & Marketing at KDPaine & Partners (acquired by Carma) and is currently the VP of Sales & Marketing at Versatile, an information technology solution provider based in Massachusetts. Throughout her tenure, she’s led teams and effectively implemented programs in collaboration with and/or working for companies such as PC Connection, GreenPages, HP, HPE, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and Sony. Angela holds a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Education from the University of New Hampshire and an Executive MBA in Organizational Leadership from Rivier College. Angela has also served as an adjunct professor of Marketing and Consumer Behavior at St. Anselm’s College in Goffstown, NH.
